Abstract

La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) se fundó en 1948, naciendo del primer World Health Assembly (Asamblea Mundial de la Salud) celebrado en Ginebra, Suiza, con el objetivo de unificar esfuerzos internacionales en salud, lo cual previamente era parte de las actividades de la Oficina Sanitaria Panamericana, la Oficina Internacional de Higiene Publica (1907) y la Organización de la Salud de la Liga de Naciones.
